The Municipal Executive Administration is one of Mjölby Municipality's six administrations and serves as the secretariat for the municipal council, municipal executive committee, and election committee. With approximately 130 employees, we drive strategic issues across the organization, coordinate cross-municipal work, and support both the political leadership and other administrations. The administration consists of municipal leadership, finance and governance, HR and payroll, secretariat, IT and digitalization, communication, and business and market.

The Communication Department is responsible for the municipality's overall communication and works to ensure clear, credible, open, and inclusive communication with employees, residents, and businesses. The department provides strategic and operational support to management and operations, manages the municipality's communication channels and brand, and coordinates communication efforts. The department has both a supportive and a governing role in the field of communication.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The position is both strategically and operationally focused. The tasks include the development and production of internal and external communication. You will be one of several main editors and work with the overarching common communication channels; external websites, intranet, and social media.

The assignment involves providing support and assistance to municipal leadership and administrations in communication matters, contacts with the media, and writing press releases. The communicator leads and drives projects in the area and plays an important role in the municipality's crisis management organization. The communicator monitors the flow of information and news inside and outside the municipality.

Your main area of work will be the education administration and its operations.

QUALIFICATIONS

A university degree of 180 credits with a focus on information and communication science or other education deemed equivalent by the employer is required for the position.

We are looking for someone with several years of experience working independently as a communicator or similar, preferably in a larger or politically governed organization. You should be an excellent writer with the ability to adapt texts to the target audience, have knowledge in print production and digital communication such as web, social media, video production, and AI. We assume you have knowledge of the laws governing our work, such as the law on digital accessibility to public services, the Language Act, and GDPR. A B driver's license is required for the position.

You have experience in project management and good computer skills with competence in and experience working with MS Office, Adobe Creative Suite, and Sitevision or another CMS.

You have the ability to:
